Awards & Recognition

Staff within the Remote Health workforce are valued employees. There are a variety of awards that an individual, team or a workplace can be nominated for. These nominations may be as a trainee, professional excellence, or primary health service delivery.

Northern Territory Training Awards

The Department of Education and Training’s NT Training Awards is an annual event recognising training excellence and achievements by Registered Training Organisations, Territory businesses, apprentices, students and trainees. In total there are twelve awards.

Aboriginal Health Worker Awards

The awards are an excellent opportunity to celebrate the unique and vital role of Aboriginal Health Workers in promoting workplace excellence and the delivery of health services throughout the Territory.

  • Overall winner is awarded the “Legend” award.

Each category winner and highly commended receives a study bursary.


The Chief Minister’s Awards for Excellence in the Public Sector formally recognise and reward the achievement of excellence in the NT Public Sector.
